Speaking to the media on Monday night – as transcribed in L’Équipe – Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta has indicated that the club would begin contract renewal discussions with defender Milan Škriniar, who was the subject of a number of offers from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer.
“We’re going to discuss a contract renewal with Škriniar soon, the club is hoping to find an agreement. I’m assured that he’s a professional who loves Inter. I hope the negotiations will go well and have a positive result.”

Inter are expected to schedule a meeting soon with the player’s agent. Reports have indicated that PSG intend to move again for the Slovakian international this winter, having been unwilling to meet the Nerazzurri’s €80m valuation over the summer. Should the centre-back not have extended by then, the Ligue 1 champions could bring him in for as low as €20m, given that Inter will be looking to avoid losing him on a free at the end of the season.
