Match officials announced for Champions Cup and Challenge Cup quarter-finals

The match officials for the European Champions Cup and Challenge Cup quarter-finals have been announced, with Nika Amashukeli handed the clash in Dublin.

Georgian official Amashukeli will hold the whistle for the Leinster v Leicester Tigers fixture at the Aviva Stadium as the action gets underway on Friday night.

Saturday’s Champions Cup schedule begins with Toulouse facing the Sharks and it will be English official Karl Dickson taking charge at Stade Ernest Wallon.

Then it will be Mathieu Raynal of France in the middle for Exeter Chiefs against reigning United Rugby Championship winners the Stormers in the evening.

The Champions Cup quarter-finals finish on Sunday with tournament holders La Rochelle facing Saracens, which will be refereed by Andrew Brace (Ireland).

Wayne Barnes gets Challenge Cup opener

Like the Champions Cup, the Challenge Cup quarter-finals will get up and running on Friday and it will be Wayne Barnes refereeing Scarlets versus Clermont.

The remaining three last-eight games will take place on Saturday as the day kicks off with an all-French meeting between Toulon and Lyon before Benetton face Cardiff and then Glasgow Warriors host the Lions. The referees for those matches are Mike Adamson (Scotland), Luke Pearce and Matthew Carley (both England).
