Bihar shelter rape accused Brajesh Thakur, unaware of surprise police checks around Independence Day, was caught chilling in prison. Thakur has connections with politically influential people and was found in possession of names and phone numbers of 40 people.
He was arrested for the rape and torture of more than 30 girls at a shelter home in Bihar.
When the team of district administrators and police officers visited jail hospital on Saturday, Thakur was found spending time in the visitors’ area.
