JR Blog: Lesnar's Drug Tests, Foley/Daniel Bryan Returns, WWE/CTE Lawsuit

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross updated his official blog at JRsBarBQ.com on Tuesday. Below are some of the highlights.

On Brock Lesnar’s drug test situation:

“I don’t enjoy getting called out on my own website regarding the Q&A’s that are submitted to us. Got one up now regarding the drug testing of Brock Lesnar. Some people want to take things out of context to seemingly stir the pot of controversy. Lesnar was drug tested by USADA many times during his UFC 200 training and he failed one of approximately 7-8 tests we are told. If the B sample comes back positive then it was a valid claim but it may not come back positive. Time will tell. But I did call out some who inferred that Lesnar was being given preferential treatment as it relates to drug testing and I knew that not to be true whatsoever. That’s what I took issue with on The Ross Report.”

On his upcoming boxing announcing gig:

“Heading to Cancun this week to broadcast with Al Bernstein Cancun Boxing for the CBS Sports Network,. Check out our show this Saturday night on @CBSSportsNet by checking your local listings.”

On Mick Foley and Daniel Bryan being named RAW and SmackDown Live GMs:

“Happy to se Mick Foley and Daniel Bryan getting back on weekly, WWE TV in their new roles of GM’s of RAW and Smackdown respectively. Two, good men who should make any show that they are on better. I like this booking by WWE. It creates two new roles for two established and talented personalities.”

On new CTE lawsuit against WWE:

“The latest CTE law suit against WWE is seemingly another attempt to leverage yet another payday from the only wrestling company with deep enough pockets to be able to provide the funds that are being sought. I don’t know all the details but I’m highly skeptical of the motives of this legal action from the same attorney who seemingly is making it his life’s work to walk away with WWE money. I’d guess that no one sees a dime in this attempt to create a payday by any means possible.”
