The Evolution pay-per-view is coming up very soon, and it will be WWE’s first pay-per-view to exclusively feature women’s wrestling. The company will definitely be working hard to make sure that the event is a success, and it looks like WWE will be bringing in some names from the past in order to do that. According to a fan who snapped a photo of an advertisement in the Barclays Center earlier today (via Pro Wrestling Sheet,) WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will be returning to take on Raw Superstar Alexa Bliss during the show. WWE has not confirmed the match as of yet, but this is definitely one bout that fans can look forward to seeing come October. Check out the graphic for the match posted down below:
Earlier this week, it was tragically confirmed that former WWE Tag Team Champion Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart passed away at the age of 63. Neidhart’s daughter, Raw Superstar Natalya, was removed from television and has not appeared onscreen at all ever since her father passed. However, according to a report from PWInsider, Natalya and her husband, TJ Wilson, are now both in New York City. This does not necessarily mean that she will be appearing during the SummerSlam event tomorrow, but if she did, expect to see her in Ronda Rousey’s corner during the former UFC fighter’s match against Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship during the SummerSlam event tomorrow night.
Rumors and speculation has been ramping up tremendously over the past few weeks with several reports claiming that WWE has taken an interest in Lucha Brothers Pentagon Jr and Fenix and that they could be signed by the company as soon as their Lucha Underground deals expire in 2019. The brothers have reportedly already told promoters that some dates in 2019 are in question now, and interestingly enough, both of them missed a show they were scheduled for in Daly City, California last night. The promotion later stated that Pentagon suffered an injury and that Fenix was experiencing travel issues. Be sure to stay tuned for all of the latest updates on that status of two of the best Luca Libre stars in the world today.
