Speaking in an unveiling press conference this afternoon as the new interim manager of Ligue 1 side Lille, Franck Passi moved to dispel rumours that Marcelo Bielsa would be working with him in the background for the remainder of the current campaign.
“With Marcelo, I speak often. I called him on Sunday when I was contacted because I have to be honest with him. But he will not intervene in my mission for these 13 matches. What I am going to do from now until the end of the season concerns only me. When I accepted the mission, I did not ask myself the question of working with Marcelo Bielsa at Lille. Maybe I will ask myself that one day. For the moment, I am thinking about staying in Ligue 1.”
