L’Équipe journalist Emery Taisne reports this afternoon that midfielder Toma Bašić’s move from Bordeaux to Serie A club Lazio is a done deal, with the two clubs now coming to an agreement over the transfer fee.
The Croatian will join the Biancocelesti for an initial €7m fee, which could rise to €8m including potential add-ons. The midfielder’s departure means that Bordeaux will now be able to complete the signing of Braga midfielder Fransérgio.

Bašić leaves Les Girondins after three seasons, having initially joined from Hajduk Split back in 2018. The Croatia international was one of the club’s standout players last season, appearing in 34 league games and scoring four goals.
