Late last night, Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that former Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville has finally been granted his release from WWE.
Neville reportedly walked off the set of Monday Night Raw more than ten months ago, allegedly unhappy with his role in the company and some of the decision-making that had been going on with the Cruiserweight division on 205 Live.
The two sides had numerous conversations, and at one point WWE officials were hopeful that they could reach an agreement to bring him back to television, but that never happened and his contract was essentially frozen by the company as he was not fulfilling his contractually obligated appearances.
In a major update to the story, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed with WWE that Neville has indeed been released from his contract. Furthermore, he is apparently available to work with other promotions and is not currently bound by a non-compete deal.
