Ligue 2 side Clermont have picked up 23-year-old Spanish striker Mario González on a free transfer after his contract expired with Villarreal.
The Spanish U17 youth international has penned a 1-year deal with the French second division side and made a handful of professional appearances in European competition, against Maccabi Tel Aviv and AS Monaco.
Last season, he scored 8 goals in 24 matches for the Spanish club’s reserve team.
González can play on either wing or up front.
