Rhyno Confirms WWE Departure, New MLW Signees, Raw Stars on SD

Over the past few months, names such as Sasha Banks, Luke Harper, and The Revival have all attempted to quit WWE. Those individuals have not been released and still have months let to go on their contracts, but former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Rhyno has confirmed that he will be gone from the company within the next few weeks. Rhyno told Chris Van Vilet that he recently turned down an offer to stay with WWE. The former ECW competitor said that he wants to be on the road with WWE and wants to work with the younger talent, but he turned down an offer worth more money out of fear that WWE would continue to keep him at home. Rhyno says that he is leaving on good terms and that his last day in WWE will be on July 17th.

The Von Erichs will go down as one of the most legendary pro wrestling families in the history of the business. It appears that their legacy will continue through the work of Marshall and Ross Von Erich, the sons of WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Von Erich. According to Sports Illustrated, the brothers have just been signed to Major League Wrestling. The brothers have competed all over the world, but they will now be wrestling exclusively for MLW under their new multi-year contracts. MLW CEO Court Bauer said that he has been working on signing the Von Erich boys since January, and he is excited to see them make their debuts. They will compete in their first match for MLW during the Fury Road show on June 1st.

As seen during Raw last night, Vince McMahon introduced in a new “Wild Card” system, which will allow four people from SmackDown to appear on Raw every week and vice versa. Names such as Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan, and Roman Reigns were on Raw yesterday, but who from Raw will be coming to SmackDown this evening? PWInsider has discovered four names who will not be on tonight’s show. Their report states that Roman Reigns, Elias, Apollo Crews, and Aleister Black will all be off of SmackDown for this week. The four of them are reportedly getting ready to embark on WWE’s annual European tour right now. Expect different names from Raw and SmackDown to be featured on tonight’s edition of the show.
