WWE Files Cena Trademark

As we noted earlier today, WWE has filed to trademark the classic WCW PPV name “Starrcade”, and the company has also filed to trademark the letters “CG.” The letters refer to John Cena’s old “Chain Gang” catchphrase, and below is the official WWE filing:

Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands; bandanas.

As of now, there is no word on what WWE might be planning to do with the trademarked names.
