ROH WORLD 6-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
THE KINGDOM (c) vs. LOS INGOBERNABLES DE JAPON

Sanada started things off against Matt Taven with a nice running moonsault, but the Kingdom leader threw him from the ring and teased a suicide dive, instead dropping to the mat and mocking the “tranquilo” pose of Tetsuya Naito. Evil tagged in but got worked over by all three champions in the heel corner, as the referee had his hands full trying to keep order. Eventually Sanada tagged back in and put two of his opponents in the Paradise Lock – which I still maintain is the dumbest “move” in wrestling – and dropkicked them both in the rear ends. He climbed to the top rope but got distracted by a bunch of red ballons that TK O’Ryan let loose, and got rolled up for a very close nearfall.

Bushi finally got involved and dropped Taven with a kick to the face, before taking the other two out with a handicap hurricanrana. The LIJ members took turns destroying the chest of the Kingdom leader with kicks and knee strikes, but the rest of the gang made the save leading to an all-out brawl. Vinny tried to take out Evil with a running axe kick, but the big man turned him inside out with a wicked lariat. Weird finish as Bushi gave Vinny a face full of poison mist, but he was still alone in the ring with the other two, who hit him with their finisher to get the win.

Winners and Still Champions: The Kingdom

FLIP GORDON vs. BULLY RAY

Flip came out to the ring draped in the American flag. Bully Ray tried to attack him from behind during entrances, but the high-flyer saw it coming and did a backflip off the top rope and dropkicked the big man to the outside. He followed up with a suicide dive taking Bully to the floor, then followed up with an even more impressive tope con hilo as the crowd came alive for the young star. A superkick connected to the side of the WWE Hall of Famer’s face, and he rolled back into the ring just to leap back over the ropes clearing the corner post for another HUGE dive onto his opponent. Flip controlled the entire match for a solid five minutes, to the shock of everyone, before a scared Bully Ray kicked him in the nuts to get himself disqualified.

Winner: Flip Gordon

The announcers were ranting and raving about how Bully Ray was a coward and a disgrace to ROH, questioning why he was even there and why the company kept him in their employment. Bully beat the hell out of Flip with a metal trash can and a steel chair as Colt Cabana – the active wrestler on commentary – complained that nobody was coming out to help the poor kid.

One of their younger talents in training (his name was “Eli” something) came out to make the save, but immediately ran into a chair shot. Cheeseburger then ran to the ring and got a few good shots in, but suffered the exact same fate. He took out a table and set it up in the ring, but finally Colt Cabana got up from the desk and rushed the ring with a chair. Bully thought about fighting him, but instead flipped the table over and ran away.
