The following are complete results from the WWE SmackDown television taping which was held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
WWE SmackDown (Airing on Wednesday, November 8, 2013)
-CM Punk def. Curtis Axel in the first official match on the WWE SmackDown portion of the television taping. Prior to the match, CM Punk did a promo.
-The Usos & R-Truth def. 3MB in a six-man tag-team match. The crowd was actually more alive for this one than you would expect.
-AJ Lee & Tamina Snuka def. The Funkadactyls. The WWE Divas Champion and her sidekick Tamina picked up the win in Divas tag-team action against the Total Divas co-stars Cameron and Naomi.
-Daniel Bryan def. Luke Harper. The crowd was on fire with “Yes!” chants throughout the majority of this match. In the end, Bryan got his hand raised over The Wyatt Family member.
-An in-ring segment took place featuring the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and the former champion Alberto Del Rio. The two traded insults back-and-forth which led to them both agreeing that they need-not wait, and that they should have their title rematch on SmackDown. This brought out the SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero who prevented that from happening, but did make Cena vs. Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship official for the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 24th.
-Alberto Del Rio def. The Great Khali. Del Rio’s streak of awesome television matches came to a screeching hault in this one, as he and Khali didn’t put on the best catch-as-catch-can classic, to the surprise of no one. In the end, Del Rio picked up the win over the big guy.
-John Cena def. Ryback in a Non-Title match. Ryback got in a decent amount of offense in this one, but in the end the World Heavyweight Champion and leader of the CeNation was too much for the “Paul Heyman guy.” Cena got the win in this one. The crowd was pretty hot throughout most of this match, which was the main event and final part of the actual television portion of the SmackDown taping.
Dark Match Main Event
-John Cena def. Alberto Del Rio to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Cena pulled double-duty, working against Ryback and Del Rio in back-to-back matches. One for television and one exclusively for the live house in Charlotte. Cena picked up the win to retain his title and officially close out the show.
