Speaking to Eurosport, PSG captain Thiago Silva reacted to his side’s 1-0 victory over FC Lorient to advance to the next round of the Coupe de France.
“The pitch was not very good. We sometimes made technical mistakes. Because of the pitch, we were not very good technically. Lorient presented themselves as a very defensive team. The pitch did not allow for us to combine with each other easily. But we managed to control things. We are happy about the qualification.”
Les Parisiens had to rely on an 80th minute header from Pablo Sarabia to assure this qualification tonight.
