Speaking in an interview with France Football, 35-year-old Brazilian central defender Thiago Silva confirmed that he intends to remain at PSG past his current contract, which expires in June 2020.
“Yes, I have never hidden that, that is my desire. There is very little time left on my contract and we will discuss it shortly. I cannot enter into details, but the idea is to remain at PSG and to continue to grow the club. The last eight years that I have spent here count. I feel like I have been involved in developing the club. If I am to extend my contract, I will be truly very happy and feel very thankful to PSG. We will soon begin discussions.”
