Amazon.com is listing an October 28th release date for the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game, with the game currently available for pre-order.
This conflicts with an earlier report from GameInformer.com about the game’s release being pushed back to “Fiscal 2015,” likely around the time of WrestleMania 31.
WWE 2K15 will be available for PS4, PS3, XBox One and XBox 360.
Take-Two announced at their recent year-end earnings conference that developer Visual Concepts, the team behind the NBA 2K series, is also working on WWE 2K15, the studio’s first full-fledged attempt at the wrestling franchise.
Last year’s WWE 2K14 had already been in production by THQ when they were bought out, so WWE 2K15 will be the first installment primarily developed by Take-Two.
It remains to be seen if Take-Two will continue building on the foundation built up by THQ over the years or (as most fans are hoping for) if they will build a completely new game from the ground up.
