As noted, WWE ran an injury angle following NXT this week featuring Aleister Black being discovered by officials unconscious in the parking lot as the show was going off the air.
WWE has since released the above video featuring new “footage” of Black being found, with the cameraman asking people if they had seen anything as it relates to Black’s condition.
The video features names such as Shayna Baszler, Ricochet and NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa walking around the scene, with the idea being it could be anyone in NXT that is responsible for what happened to Black. Kona Reeves at one point tells the cameraman to “get lost”, and Ricochet says he does not know what is going on as he is waiting for his driver.
As we reported earlier today, the attack angle was done as a way to write Aleister Black off NXT Takeover Brooklyn, as he recently underwent surgery which will prevent him from wrestling at the event. Black was announced to compete in a Triple Threat NXT Title match against Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano at Takeover, but the match will likely end up being Ciampa vs Gargano with Black missing the event due to injury.
