According to a new report, it appears that WWE is seriously considering making WWE SmackDown Live a three-hour show following the move to FOX.
During yesterdays WWE earnings call, Co-President, George Barrios was asked about the future of the blue brand, with Barrios admitting that the company has been used to monetizing six hours worth of content.
Right now, the sixth hour (WWE 205 Live), is being used on the WWE Network, so the company is going to decide moving forward how to use that third hour, which could lead to an extension for SmackDown Live.
“We’ve been monetizing some way, shape or form six hours of content for a long time, today, that sixth hour is primarily being used on the network and we’ll figure out here over the next several months, what we think the best use of, nothing to update now.”
