Impact Wrestling Star EC3 Files to Trademark His Name

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, top Impact Wrestling star EC3, aka Ethan Carter III, has filed a trademark to legally own his wrestling name.

The move to patent the names comes on the heels of Impact Wrestling announcing the company has restructured talent contracts allowing them to use their Impact gimmicks, characters, names, etc outside of the company. The move was done as a somewhat of a gesture of good faith, and to entice talents to work for Impact, as they can get themselves over in Impact and if they leave they can freely use their characters elsewhere.

EC3, real name Michael Hutter, filed to trademark the name last week, and will now go through a similar process to that of talents such as Matt Hardy.
