The happy return of Edge to WWE was a short-lived one thanks to Randy Orton as the Viper viciously attacked his former tag team partner on WWE Raw.
Orton took down Edge with a major RKO and then several chair shots, including one to his previously injured neck.
The show ended with Edge being looked at in the ring by WWE officials and the company has shared a medical update on the WWE Hall Of Famer.
WWE.com stated that Edge has been taken to a local medical facility following the attack at the conclusion of the show, with WWE promising to provide further updates when available.
For what it’s worth, a WWE WrestleMania 36 match is currently being rumored between the two of them. The reliable Twitter account, WrestleVotes shared a tweet yesterday claiming that Edge and Randy Orton are scheduled to go one-on-one in Tampa in April.
