The Washington Post reported Monday that Kostiantyn Kulyk was one of the first prosecutors to be ousted after he failed to appear for a required examination earlier this year. Kulyk previously served as deputy head of the Department of International Legal Cooperation under Ukraine’s office of the attorney general, the newspaper noted.

Hundreds of prosecutors have reportedly been fired as part of the review process, which was ordered by Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky, earlier this year. A total of at least 570 are expected to be ousted by December’s end, according to the Post.
