Spanish side Valencia are confident of signing loanee and Portuguese attacking midfield revelation Gonçalo Guedes on a permanent deal from PSG at the beginning of this coming summer, according to L’Équipe.
But, nothing is yet signed, and Atletico Madrid are considering a last-minute play for the former Benfica man.
At the end of December, Valencia and PSG reached an oral agreement worth €35m for the player’s transfer, with the money due to be paid in its entirety before the 1st of June, allowing Les Parisiens to put this sum into their accounts for the 2017/18 campaign, thus further alleviating Financial Fair Play concerns.
Due to the player’s impressive performances, a deal is now expected to be finalised at around the €40m mark.

Valencia remain confident that they will complete the deal without a last-minute attempt from a rival European power, with the player’s agent Jorge Mendes being very close to both the Spanish club’s owner Peter Lim and PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
