The Tuesday, August 16th SummerSlam “go-home” edition of SmackDown Live saw a slight increase in viewership for the final blue-brand show heading into the biggest event of the summer.
Tuesday’s SmackDown Live featured a main event of John Cena vs.
Alberto Del Rio in what will be Del Rio’s final television match for at least the next 30 days, as he begins his mandatory 30-day WWE suspension on Thursday, August 18th for violating the company’s Wellness Policy.
Regardless, Del Rio’s match with Cena did its’ part to help the final number come in at 2.471 million viewers, slightly above last week’s show, which drew 2.455 million viewers.
SmackDown Live this week finished #5 on the night for all of cable television for the evening, and number one in the coveted 18-49 year-old demographic.
